Moscow, train derailed by explosive device in Bryansk

A freight train in Russia’s Bryansk region on the border with Ukraine derailed after an “explosive device” detonated on the tracks for the second day in a row. Local governor Alexander Bogomaz said on Tuesday. “An unidentified explosive device detonated near the Sneetskaya train station,” Bogomaz said a day after a similar derailment in the same region. “The accident caused a locomotive and several wagons to derail,” concluded the Bryansk governor (WAR IN UKRAINE, LIVEBLOG – SPECIAL).

No sacrifices

The station is located about two kilometers outside the Bryansk regional node. The explosion derailed the train and caught fire. According to the Russian authorities, the accident was caused by unauthorized persons tampering with the rail transport. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties, there are no fires and traffic on the route has been suspended.
