At the time, more than 20 million Brits tuned in to the black and white show, which was later broadcast worldwide. Seventy years later, Queen Elizabeth’s son is set to be officially crowned King of England in a ceremony that will no doubt be seen live by tens of millions around the world. When is King Charles’ coronation?
The coronation of King Charles III. begins at 5:20 am ET on Saturday, May 6, 2023 with a procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey. The ceremony is officially scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m. and end at 8:00 a.m. After the end of the ceremony, the newly crowned King Charles and his Queen Camilla will depart in the Gold State Coach and return to the Palace. Back at Buckingham Palace, the Royal Family reappear at 9:15am to watch a military flyby from the Palace Balcony.
When will the coronation air?
The coronation ceremony officially begins at 11am in the UK and 6am ET in the US. However, many US stations will air coronation coverage as early as 5 a.m. ET, and the BBC will begin coverage at 2:30 a.m. ET.
Will King Charles’ coronation be televised?
The Coronation of King Charles III. is the second time that the coronation of a member of the British royal family will be televised. In the United States, coverage of the coronation is broadcast on many major broadcast and cable networks, including ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and NBC. In the UK, the BBC has covered coverage.

How to watch the King Charles Coronation Concert

A special Coronation Concert will be held at Windsor Castle on Sunday, May 7th at 3:00pm ET.
The Coronation Concert, hosted by Hugh Bonneville and featuring performances by Katy Perry, British pop group Take That, international superstar Lionel Richie and opera singer Andrea Bocelli, is perhaps the most exciting part of the entire royal weekend for some.
The coronation concert will be broadcast on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds. For those in the US, it’s currently unclear if the coronation concert will be broadcast on major broadcast networks or streaming platforms, but you can easily tune into free UK coverage using a VPN.

Will Prince William and Kate Middleton Attend King Charles’ Coronation?

According to a copy of the coronation service liturgy obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Prince Williams’ role at the coronation will be to greet King Charles III. pledging his loyalty and allegiance during the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Catherine, Princess of Wales and Duchess of Cambridge has made headlines about her possible fashion choices for Coronation Day, with the Sunday Times reporting that she opted for a “bold and innovative gesture” by contrasting “a floral one.” Headdress” wears a tiara for the ceremony.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex will make a brief trip to the UK to attend his father’s coronation before returning to the US to celebrate his son’s birthday.
His wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, will stay home with the couple’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Meghan partially misses the party to throw her own for her son’s birthday, which falls on May 6, Coronation Day.
It has been reported that the former Suits star is planning a “low key” get together to celebrate Archie’s 4th birthday.
