Mariana Mazza revealed in the new documentary series like butterfliesfeatured on True where she indulged in a darker part of her life.

In fact, the comedian revealed that following his meteoric rise in his early career, he faced many issues, which led to depression and drug use.

It was a bittersweet time for Mariana to have what happened all at once, making her a universally recognized star.

“Everywhere I went, the world recognized me on the street (…) Every time it was an adrenaline rush. I haven’t eaten much (…) because your stomach is so upset (…) there’s a lot going on,” she says.

A high that lasted for two good years after the release of his first one-woman show Woman shut upbefore I realized things weren’t going at all.

“Sometimes the feeling of loneliness comes. Because during this time you have the impression that you are well surrounded. The planet is there, but, yes, yes… it is ephemeral (…) Decline begins to be felt when all this effect of novelty is normalized. It’s not funny anymore,” Mariana continues.

It all led to a consultation with her doctor for what appeared to be depression.

“I went to the doctor. I go to his office, I sit down, then he says to me: How are you? Then I start to cry. He says: Oh dear, right now, when you’re not on the tires if you want to fart, you have to slow down,” she admits, specifying that she then refused to want to slow down.

Antidepressants were then required.

“I’m starting to take this! I’m gaining a little weight, I have no libido, I’m on tab*rn*k. I have nothing left for me. Eventually I’ll see the benefits. I sleep well at night,” says Mazza.

The star reveals she’s still on her meds, which is helping her feel calmer. You can begin to find joy in the simple things in life again.
