The San Francisco Giants not only have bitter memories of their time in Mexico because they lost both games there to the San Diego Padres last weekend.
The Giants suffered 16-11, 6-4 losses to arch-rivals California, and not just because they conceded 27 goals in two games.
According to Gunner Logan Webb’s chilling admission, nearly all members of the San Francisco Club suffered from travelers’ diarrhea.
“The whole journey was exhausting, he revealed at a press conference. It was tough, both physically and mentally. I think three quarters of our team had diarrhea.”
“It will be nice to come home, hopefully it will fade. We’ll be better in a few days,” he added with a smile.
Clearly, the Giants regained their good health as they won their next two games against the defending major league champions, the Houston Astros.
The Giants begin their next series Friday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
