Meg Ryan ‘unrecognizable’ on first outing in six months

Meg Ryan came to support Michael J. Fox at the premiere of his documentary Still, raising many comments from netizens who did not recognize him in the evening’s photos published by Page Six magazine.

At 61, Meg Ryan doesn’t look like the young naïve she looked in the ’90s movies Destiny’s Magic or City of Angels, according to photos posted online Thursday night.

Her admirers quickly took to social media to share their surprise while criticizing her new look.

“What has Meg Ryan done to her face?!” asked one concerned netizen, while another tweeted: “Is it Meg Ryan now? WTF* what happened? »

“Is it really Meg Ryan, if so it’s such a shame and incredibly sad,” added a third person.

Several critics have attributed Meg Ryan’s different looks to plastic surgery, which she has yet to confirm or deny.

“You and Madonna obviously have the same plastic surgeon,” added one user.

Down with the negativity

Meg Ryan has previously addressed her new image publicly, including to Porter Magazine in 2015, explaining that she “doesn’t pay much attention” to gossip.

“There is a lot of hate in the world today, it’s so easy to judge,” said the mother of two.

On her Instagram account, the actress – who last appeared on screen in the 2015 film Ithaca (which she also directed) – often posts promotional photos of herself when she was younger with the hashtag #throwback.

Back in March 2022, sharing his ODDA magazine cover photo sparked several hateful and baseless messages about his appearance. “Jesus, you have aged so badly! ‘ wrote one surfer, ‘I would have thought she would be one of those rare actresses to age with grace and naturalness. Neither do you with fillers and surgeries,” wrote another.

For several years, Meg Ryan’s performance has sparked questions and speculation from the public, who seem to forget that Meg Ryan is no longer 24 years old than she was when she starred in the film Top Gun, which was released in 1986.

“Imagine you’re a hater, how stupid! The people I like talk about growing up kids, the kind of world they go into, what we eat, what we breathe…” the actress added in the same interview.
