TO UPDATE: Texas coroners said Friday the death of 30-year-old Sara Lee was a suicide. The 30-year-old consumed a deadly combination of alcohol and drugs.

Lee died at her home in San Antonio, Texas last October. Coroners said she had a mixture of amphetamines, doxylamine and alcohol in her system, a spokesman for the Bexar County Bureau of Medical Investigations said.

Lee won a one-year, $250,000 contract with WWE in season six of the Tough Enough competition.

EARLIER: Sara Lee, winner of Season 6 of WWE reality series Tough Enough, died today at the age of 30, her mother said. No reason was given.

“It is with a heavy heart that we wanted to announce that our Sara Weston has gone unto Jesus,” Terri Lee wrote on social media. “We are all in shock and the precautions are not yet complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn.”

Lee recently battled what she called a sinus infection, but released earlier this week that she feels well enough to work out.

“I’m celebrating finally being healthy enough to hit the gym two days in a row,” she wrote on Instagram. “My first sinus infection kicked my butt.”

Lee was given a one-year WWE contract following her 2015 win on the reality series, but was released in September 2016. She continued to wrestle on the independent circuit.

Fellow wrestler Bull James organized a GoFundMe for Lee’s family. He wrote:

“We are all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Tough Enough winner Sara Lee. With her loving husband Cory picking up the pieces and continuing to raise their 3 children, the last thing anyone in this position wants to worry about is money and the cost of a funeral and everything else that comes with it.

“The wrestling community has always been one that comes together after tragedy and this is no different. Every penny raised goes directly to Cory and the kids. Thanks in advance. RIP Sara, you were one of the good guys.”

Lee married WWE wrestler Cory James Weston, who worked under the stage name Wesley Blake, in 2017. They had two children, daughter Piper and son Brady. No memorial plans have been announced.
