It’s King Charles’ big day – but the children of Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 41, didn’t get the memo.

Their youngest son, Prince Louis, came with them as they left for the coronation of King Charles III on the morning of May 6th. and Queen Camilla made.

Louis, 5, waved cutely to onlookers from his car as he and his family were the last to arrive at Westminster Abbey for the ceremony.

George, 9, was given the special assignment of being one of his grandfather’s page honours, after holding on to his red robe as the 74-year-old monarch entered the church.

He joined the other sides, Nicholas Barclay, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, both 13, and Ralph Tollemache, 12 – the children of some noble families in England.

Elsewhere, Louis and his sister Princess Charlotte came in with their parents, holding hands as they strolled into the 1,000-year-old church.

Little Louis, who was soon seen yawning, was then taken away by his nursemaid after entering the abbey.

George, 9, who will now be second in line to the throne, his sister Princess Charlotte, 8, and mischievous Louis are growing up in the spotlight – and have delighted royal viewers with so many endearing moments.

These include friendly waves from the balcony, handshakes with dignitaries and even tantrums.

Her uninhibitedness and innocence provide a certain balance between the pomp and circumstance of royal events.

Last summer, during Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, then 4-year-old Louis was photographed displaying the full range of emotions, from frustration to defiance.

During a ceremonial transfer, Louis covered his ears and screamed while his great-grandmother and mother tended to him.

But when it came to funny faces, an animated Louis was just warming up.

On the last day of the platinum anniversary, the wild tot was caught on camera in a series of candid moments, including sticking his tongue out at his mum and waving his fingers, silencing her and grinning while he rested on his grandfather’s lap sat.

Big sister Charlotte is no slouch when it comes to commanding the cameras, though she’s known less for making goofy faces and more for waving at the public.

This dates back to the Trooping the Color event in 2016, held to celebrate her great-grandmother’s 90th birthday. Waving on the balcony was baby Charlotte, 13 months, who wore a pink dress and rested in her mother’s arms while her brother, then 3, looked ready for bedtime.

And she melted hearts after turning and waving to the cameras as her father led her and George to the hospital to see little brother Louis after his birth in 2018.

When Charlotte was born, George and his father were photographed in matching blue sweaters, and the proud big brother did the same: waving at photographers.

The heir even managed to steal the spotlight during a 2016 visit by then-President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

According to William’s spokesman, Prince George was allowed to stay up past his bedtime to meet the first family.

He greeted her in a white bathrobe and elegant pajamas. A snap shows the angelic tot shaking hands with Obama, kneeling to greet him. In another moment, he was riding a rocking horse that was a gift from the Obamas.

Those moments were particularly welcome as the fights between Prince Harry and the rest of the Windsor clan have turned ugly and spilled over into the public eye with the release of his memoir, Spare, the Sussexes’ explosive interview with Oprah in 2021, and the pair on Netflix -Documentation.

The Cambridge kids are undeniably a feast for the palate.
