Prince Louis, aged 5, is considered one of the most “impish” children in royalty and usually stars in adventures and cute moments that don’t go unnoticed by the cameras. This Saturday (6/5) the youngest of William and Kate Middleton returned to steal the scene just before he arrived at Westminster Abbey in London to crown his paternal grandfather King Charles III.

Still in the car near the church entrance, Louis waved to his subjects for a few minutes. Photographers soon captured the little prince’s gesture. Until earlier in the week, the boy’s presence was unknown as he stole the limelight during the late Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebration in June last year.

During the jubilee, held to celebrate the late Queen Elizabeth’s 70year reign, Louis pulled faces and pranked many to the chagrin of his parents, who tried to contain him, but to no avail.

The child covered the mother’s mouth, stuck out his tongue and pointed his finger to say “no”.

Confirmation that Louis would attend the coronation came earlier this week. The boy attended rehearsals at Westminster Abbey and his mother Kate Middleton revealed more details. During a visit to the London district of Soho this Thursday (May 4th), the Princess of Wales spoke to subjects who were staying near the Dog & Duck pub.

As the Princess of Wales greeted the audience, a woman in the audience asked, “Do you think Louis will behave?” She replied, “Yes, I hope so… You never know with children”. In the interview, the Princess of Wales commented on George’s role in the coronation: “Actually, it is him [animado]. After a few rehearsals I think everyone is a bit more relaxed.”
