A 52-year-old man of Spanish nationality died this Saturday afternoon in the Puente de Vallecas district after being attacked with a knife in his side. Shortly before, a 37-year-old woman suffered serious head injuries in another incident in the Tetuán district. A second woman was arrested as the suspected perpetrator of this attack, which took place in a building that had been occupied for years. In the other case, there are currently no detainees.

The crime in Puente de Vallecas, explains a spokeswoman for Madrid Emergencies, happened after 6 p.m. on public roads in a garden area at 41 Humanes Street. El Samur was there helping a 52-year-old man who was suffering from a cardiac circulatory arrest after suffering a stab wound to his left side. The National Police add that he also had other injuries to his neck and face.

The first to come were members of the Metropolitan Police and the National Police, who “sealed the wound and began resuscitation maneuvers” by the time the toilets arrived. The samur continued the advanced maneuvers for more than 30 minutes, but it was impossible to save his life. A city psychologist assisted relatives of the victim at the scene. The National Police are investigating the causes of the attack. A police spokeswoman has ruled out a connection to youth gangs, attributing it to a conflict with someone they are trying to identify and track down.

In the other incident, which took place after five o’clock in the afternoon, a 37-year-old woman was seriously injured in a substandard apartment at the back of 17 Jaén Street in the capital’s Tetuán district. It is an occupied building “in which a large amount of garbage of all kinds accumulates”. The property has a long history of conflict, fighting and fighting and last year it suffered three consecutive fires in February, March and September.

According to the same spokesman for Madrid Emergencies, the woman suffered “cardiovascular arrest, apparently as a result of severe head trauma”, i.e. a severe blow to the head. The Samur carried out resuscitation maneuvers and managed to undo the stop “within a few minutes”. The woman was “intubated and in very serious condition” taken to La Paz hospital.

The city police had the alleged aggressor nearby and transferred her to a national police station, which will be responsible for the investigation. The spokeswoman points out that “the transportation of the woman to the ambulance was very complicated due to the difficulties of the terrain, arduous and steep, and the mountains of garbage”, which required the help of the city’s fire department.
