As part of the chatbot race, Russia decided to launch its own platform. Russian chatbot called GigaChat allows you to have a conversation, answer questions and generate images.
The idea is to be a direct competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and the announcement was made by Russian bank Sberbank. According to Portal information, initially only those who receive an invitation via Telegram can learn more about GigaChat.
The company announced this in a statement gigchat it is your own multimodal neural network. Therefore, this new platform would have the same features as ChatGPT but with some new features since it includes the Kandinsky 2.1 model.

GigaChat should be smarter than ChatGPT
One of the highlights of the announcement is the information that GigaChat was created specifically to work much more intelligently and is based on a network called the Neural Omnimodal Network With KnowledgeAwareness (NeONKA). This set of networks brings with it numerous neural networks and human adaptations.
In addition, the focus is on GigaChat training courses based on the supercomputer Chrisofari Neo. It was developed by SberDevices and SberAI. Another institution that helped develop this chatbot was the AI Research Institute, known as AIRI.
The main idea of GigaChat is to make it available to scientists, students and developers in version 3.5. It consists of 13 million parameters, slightly fewer than GPT3 and GPT4, but still rivals the main chatbot.
Since the creation of ChatGPT, it is much more common that numerous chatbots are created to compete side by side with the OpenAI version. The focus on this type of artificial intelligence began when students discovered its existence and began using it to write essays in the United States.
