It’s Spring and digital platforms are vying for originality to keep us in front of the small screen!
Here are 10 new features not to be missed:
1) beads (from May 11th on Club illico)

Single parents and female solidarity are at the heart of the action of this dramatic comedy, which takes place in a small village in the Haute-Côte-Nord. Stéphanie (Bianca Gervais) is raising her daughters Laurence (Cassandra Latreille), 16, and Juliette (Anouk Tanguay), 9, alone, for whom she is committed with body and soul. The day she finally decides to think of herself, she flies south with her lover, but prefers to tell those around her that she’s going to a yoga retreat… When she comes back, she becomes her best friend (Sharon Fontaine -Ishpatao) tells her that she had to lie to cover her back and that the whole village now thinks she is depressed. Forced to keep up appearances, Stephanie gets caught in all sorts of crazy situations that end up jeopardizing her daughters’ well-being.
2) Platonic (from May 24th on Apple TV+)
After Rose Byrne and Seth Rogen provided the answer in The Neighbors movies, they team up again to make us laugh! In the comedy Platonic, the two stars play old friends in their early forties who reunite after several years of separation. Their reunion sows chaos in their respective lives, but that doesn’t matter: Sylvie and Will want to make up for lost time!
3) The Muppets Mayhem (From May 10th on Disney+)
Jim Henson’s famous puppets are back, this time in a musical starring the band from The Muppet Show: Electric Mayhem. In fact, dr. Teeth and his musicians finally get a chance to record a first album after a long and prosperous career! But the modern music industry is a lot more rock ‘n’ roll than meets the eye…
4) Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Chapter (On Netflix since May 4th)

Adapted from the popular series The Chronicle of the Bridgertons, this six-episode mini-series chronicles the arrival of a young Queen Charlotte at the English court. There she meets her fiancé, King George III, for the first time, with whom she falls madly in love. Then come the complications: Charlotte must secure her position by being respected by both her subjects and her formidable mother-in-law! Fortunately, she can count on the support of a few allies, such as young Lady Danbury.
5) American-born Chinese (from May 24th on Disney+)
This action comedy stars Jin Wang, a Chinese-American teenager struggling to find his place, both at home and at school. On the first day of school he meets a new student who has just arrived from Asia. However, the latter isn’t exactly who he says he is… and Jin is thrust into the center of an epic battle pitting the powerful gods of Chinese mythology against one another.

7) Good Morning Chuck (or The Art of Harm Reduction) (as of May 24th on Crave)
Bringing together several talented creators such as director and screenwriter Jean-François Rivard (C’est comme ça que je t’aime, Série noire, Les Invincibles), this dramatic comedy might well pack a punch. It’s the story of Chuck (also series creator, Nicolas Pinson), a popular television host whose reputation is shattered when his cocaine use sparks a scandal. To restore his reputation with the public and his family, he agrees to stay in a convalescent home run by a psychiatrist (Chantal Fontaine) and a therapist (Bernard Fortin), where he shares his everyday life with equally despicable drug addicts. – and vulnerable – to each other. When he first thinks he’s above it all, Chuck quickly discovers that he does indeed suffer from an addiction and that he still has a long way to go to find happiness. Marilyn Castonguay, Sylvain Marcel, Hugo Dubé, Lyna Khellef and Nathalie Doummar are also part of the cast of this series, which is characterized by whimsical humor and black-and-white images.

In a post-apocalyptic future, survivors live together in a 144-story underground silo. While the majority are convinced that they must protect their hermetic environment at all costs, some silo dwellers are increasingly skeptical about their reality. Starring Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Robbins, Common, David Oyelowo, Iain Glen and Rashida Jones.
10) The griffin (from May 26th on Prime Video)

Based on the work of prolific author Wolfgang Hohlbein, this German series tells the story of Mark (Jeremias Meier), a teenager who discovers a wonderful but very dark world ruled by a power-hungry monster. But Mark already has his hands full with everyday life! Only when his brother Thomas (Theo Trebs) disappears does he finally resign himself to playing the hero.
