Nissan Stadium officials delayed the outdoor show due to downpours and the threat of lightning in the area. Fans already inside the stadium were told to go inside to shelter from the torrential rain, while those arriving at the venue were told to stay in their cars.

Referring to the delay on social media, Taylor wrote: “[J’ai] was so moved by these beautiful and generous crowds in nashville!!!! I just can’t believe it. hp I know we’re talking about a rainy atmosphere tonight but I’m ready to play see you soon!!”

About three and a half hours later, officials from Nissan Stadium announced that the show could begin.

“Admirers, please begin to make your way safely to your seats. Once production is complete, Taylor Swift will take the stage.

To make up for lost time, opening acts Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams did not perform. Taylor reportedly took the stage around 10 p.m. local time.

Video clips posted to social media showed non-stop rain throughout the three-hour concert, with Taylor’s hair and clothes looking visibly wet.
