Driving rain fell on the site and there was a risk of lightning. Several spectators were already inside the enclosure when asked to take shelter inside the stadium to escape the elements on the field.

Spectators who arrived later had to wait in their cars.
Addressing the delay on her social media, Taylor Swift said: “I was so moved by this wonderful and generous crowd in Nashville!!!! I can not believe it. PS: I know there will be discussions about the rain tonight, but I’m ready to play, see you soon!
About three and a half hours later, stadium officials quoted Taylor Swift’s 2010 song Sparks Fly to announce that the show could begin. Missing to catch up were Phoebe Bridgers and Gracie Abrams, who are delivering the first part of the Shake It Off singer’s tour.
Taylor Swift took the stage at around 10 p.m.
As we can see from the videos posted by fans on social media, the rain continued when the weather conditions calmed down.
Taylor Swift actually looks soaked, which didn’t stop her from performing the three-hour show.
This was the third and final concert in his hometown of Nashville. During the first show, Taylor Swift officially announced that her next re-recorded album would be Speak Now, due out on July 7 (23).
