5 tips to age less quickly without surgery

At a time when Botox and cosmetic surgery are widely used to erase the signs of aging, one doctor is offering several ways to age less quickly without going under the knife or undergoing injections, the Daily reports Mail.

dr Asiya Maula, Director of Health Suite, a private UK medical company, offers several methods, most of which are natural. Also, some of them don’t cost a penny.

Here are five tips to slow down aging without surgery:

Face Yoga

By strengthening your muscles and stimulating your blood flow, facial yoga can help your face maintain tighter, plumper skin by stimulating collagen production.

To get results, experts recommend doing facial exercises twice a day: five minutes in the morning after waking up and five minutes in the evening right before bed.

Start by warming up your face by opening your jaw as if you’re about to yawn, and then without moving your head, look up. Hold the pose for 10 seconds and then repeat.

After that, you need to perform three to four facial expressions, each holding for 30 seconds. For example, move your chin to the side and lift it slightly, then place your lips as if you’re about to kiss. Hold the pose for 10 seconds and then repeat this exercise by rotating your chin the other way.

go outside

The sun’s rays can reduce the appearance of wrinkles on your face. Getting outside also gives you vitamin D, which is essential for the health of your bones, teeth, and muscles.

Sunlight also helps reduce stress, which is a major factor in aging.

Don’t forget to put on sunscreen though, as direct sunlight can have the opposite effect and prematurely age your skin.

acupuncture

Inserting fine needles into certain parts of the body has gained popularity in the West in recent years, and is particularly used as a substitute for dermal filler injections.

Acupuncture helps your body release fibroblasts, cells that serve to protect your tissues and organs. Invented a long time ago in China, this treatment also stimulates the production of elastin, which slows the loss of firmness in your skin.

Sleep

Lack of sleep is often synonymous with dark circles under your eyes, swollen eyelids and pale skin, but studies also claim that sleeping too short nights has aging effects on your body.

According to a 2013 study in the United States, sleep-deprived people are more likely to have wrinkles and more variable skin tone.

Researchers at the University of California also found out in 2015 that lack of sleep can accelerate cell aging.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is arguably Dr. Maula and can still help rejuvenate your skin.

This technique allows you to breathe air that is 100% oxygen, while the air you normally breathe contains around 20%.

Exposure to this “pure oxygen” promotes collagen production and reduces the number of wrinkles.

This method also has the effect of improving your concentration and memory, in addition to your blood circulation.
