After a 15year break, the program direct line was again shown to internet users. The attraction offers the presentation of Pedro Bial and will feature famous crime cases in Brazil weekly, one week with crimes solved and the other with unsolved cases.

The first episode received a lot of comment on social networks after raising the case of Eloá, a young woman held hostage by her exboyfriend who eventually died after a media intervention that ended up disrupting negotiations with the police . With that, the commander of the attraction decided to comment on the program this Tuesday morning (9) at the meeting.

“Linha Direta comes from a tradition where we like detective stories and detective stories. The brain is stronger than brute force. I think that’s the key lesson that Linha Direta brings us to face a world with so much violence,” Bial began. “Beyond that, there’s our sensitivity as humans who want to understand the nature of evil. What is monstrous about a human being? What can a monster be human? Are criminals monsters or people like us who got in the way?”, continued he continued and, given the facts, affirmed the role of the press.

Patrícia Poeta, moderator of the meeting, decided to remember the first episode of the new “Linha Direta” and confessed to remember that the press got in the way in the Eloá case. “I confess that I thought exactly the same thing while watching. Do you see the mistakes that happened in that moment, 15 years ago, you’re like, ‘Wow, that sucks, what can we improve if it happens again?'” she said, commenting on the importance of facts impartially and reported correctly.
