Coronation Street fans were heartbroken as Ryan Connor stumbled out of the Rovers in tears on Wednesday night.
Ryan (played by Ryan Prescott) boldly returned to the pub where he suffered life-changing injuries after a horrific acid attack.
Ryan was pelted with a glass of acid after stepping between Daisy Midgeley and her stalker Justin – who originally intended to attack the barmaid.
But after chilling flashbacks, the traumatized Ryan faced even more devastation when he heard Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) tell her fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) that she couldn’t wait to get rid of him.
Daisy has been secretly pretending to be a gorgeous influencer named Crystal to boost Ryan’s confidence and her feelings towards him appear to have grown in recent weeks.

But Daisy got defensive when Daniel entered the pub and discussed her bond with Ryan after briefly touching him at the bar.
Ryan, unwell, made a hasty exit, but not before overhearing a conversation that destroyed his confidence.
Daisy said to Daniel, “What bond?” I feel sorry for him. I’m counting down the days until I can get rid of him.’
Viewers took to Twitter as they watched Ryan leave the pub crying and gasping for air and heartbroken.
“Well done Daisy. As if Ryan hadn’t hit rock bottom already. Completely heartless,” wrote one fan of the show.
Another added, “Poor Ryan heard that,” while another viewer captioned, “Wow.” That was hard, I didn’t expect Daisy to say that poor Ryan.
“Oh Ryan that was brutal,” said another. “Ryan overhears Daisy telling Daniel that she plans to dump him as a boyfriend!” “Poor Ryan,” added another viewer.
Spectators cried as Ryan returned to the Rovers for the first time since the acid attack.
As he entered the pub, he was greeted by Debbie. However, he suffered terrible flashbacks. Daisy said to him, “I’m so proud of you.”
Fans of the show took to Twitter to comment on the heartbreaking scenes.
“That flashback even scared me!!!!” while another added, “Proud of Ryan.”
Things only get worse for Ryan when he falls unconscious in his apartment after complaining of a stomach ache.

In the classroom, Daniel tried to talk quietly to Max about his video, but the teenager refused to talk about it.
When class started, one of the guys in prison, Gav, accused Max of being very nice to Daniel.
To upset him and gain Gav’s approval, Max disrupted the class.
