Google continues to integrate AI into all of its services. With the annual Google I/O conference on May 10, 2023 in full swing, the web giant has announced new features aimed at businesses using its cloud hosting services.
In particular, the integration of its new PaLM 2 language model with current development services: from image and code generation to the customization of its own artificial intelligence tools.
The development of AI tools is progressing
After announcing new features for individual users, Google immediately announced that these new features would also be integrated into its Google Cloud service.
Especially within the “Vertex IA” platform. This already allows companies to create and develop their own artificial intelligence tools thanks to ready-made models made available according to their professional needs.

In addition to increasing efficiency with PaLM 2, Google is announcing three new pre-trained models:
- “Imagen”, which allows images to be created, modified and personalized with text;
- “Codey” to generate code according to a text request (prompts);
- “Chirp”, a speech recognition model compatible with more than 300 languages.
The company says these tools are already available to its customers.
Specialized AI services for clients
Google also announces a system to optimize these artificial intelligence tools based on human feedback, without giving details.

A specialization of these services for very specific purposes such as medicine or cyber security is also possible, as Google has presented for its new language model PaLM 2.
If it’s also going to be integrated with the Office suite Workspace in the form of an always-accessible side panel called “Duet AI,” Google says it’s adding that integration for cloud customers as well.
