A first trailer for Chloé Robichaud’s Happy Days has been unveiled

The actress Sophie Desmarais slips into the skin of an orchestra conductor Happy Daysdirector Chloé Robichaud’s third feature film, the trailer for which was unveiled on Wednesday.

The film, which hits theaters October 20, explores the world of classical music through the journey of Emma (Sophie Desmarais), a talented young conductor and rising star of the Montreal scene who shares a complex relationship with her father and agent , played by Sylvain Marcel.

Nour Belkhiria, Maude Guérin, Katherine Levac, Yves Jacques and Vincent Leclerc are also represented in sales.

This is the third collaboration between Chloé Robichaud and Sophie Desmarais, notably following the 2013 film Sarah Prefers Racing. In preparing for the role, the actress was able to benefit from the invaluable advice of renowned orchestra director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The latter was involved in the project as a musical advisor, while the Orchester Métropolitain – of which Nézet-Séguin is the chief conductor and artistic director – was involved in both the recording of the music and the filming of the film.

Happy Days will premiere on October 16th in Montreal at the Théâtre Maisonneuve, Place des Arts, in the presence of the film crew, the conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Orchester Métropolitain.
