Billy Crystal says it’s ‘wonderful’ his pal Robert De Niro, 79, is having a new baby… as the Goodfellas star reveals the newborn’s name with Tiffany Chen
Billy Crystal, 75, and Robert De Niro have been friends for decades.
During a red carpet interview at the premiere of Crystal’s Yogi Berra film It Ain’t Over, he revealed what he thinks about his 79-year-old boyfriend welcoming their seventh child.
“I was with him two weeks before the baby was born,” Crystal told People. “You know, it’s amazing.”
De Niro welcomed his seventh child with girlfriend Tiffany Chen, 45.
Crystal added that the couple “just love each other and want to do this together.” I think it’s a beautiful thing. It is wonderful.’

De Niro announced in an interview with ET Canada earlier this week that he had given birth to his seventh child.
The Taxi Driver-actor was promoting his new movie About My Father when the reporter on the red carpet asked him how his six children were doing.
“Seven, actually.” “I just had a baby,” he revealed.
De Niro is father to daughter Drena, 51, and son Raphael, 46, with his first wife Diahnne Abbot, and twin sons Julian and Aaron, 27, with his ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith.
He also shared son Elliot, 24, and daughter Helen, 11, with ex-wife Grace Hightower.
The Goodfellas star opened up about being a dad in an interview with Access Hollywood this week.
“Sometimes I don’t think people really know what it means to be a good father. You know you have a responsibility but it’s a mystery, it’s very exciting but also scary and you’re doing your best,” he said.
And just this morning, the casino actor revealed the name of his newborn.

De Niro shared with Extra his feelings about becoming a father for the seventh time, saying, “I’m OK with that,” the actor said when asked if he was excited. “I’m fine.” When asked if becoming a parent was ever easier, he quipped, “It never gets easier.”
