After the departure of Mélissa Lavergne Beautiful and bumNormand Brathwaite will have three new co-hosts for Season 21, namely Marie-Josée Gauvin, Fabiola N. Aladin and Lunou Zucchini.
The three women will take turns sharing the task in Télé-Québec next September.
Marie-Josée Gauvin has been known as a radio presenter since 2005, having previously worked with Normand Brathwaite on CKOI. She should be skilled with the guitar. In a video, the presenter holds a glass of champagne in her hand and speaks of an “honour, Belle and Bum, to come into your family”.
Fabiola N. Aladdin is an actress. We saw her in Can You Hear Me? on the same antenna and in Sans Rendez-vous on ICI Télé. She is also a columnist on Marc Labrèche’s talk show “I come to you” on Noovo. Last winter she took part in the guitar galore segment of the show. She says she has a hard time “controlling herself” when she thinks of all the encounters she will have on the set of “Belle et Bum”.
Finally, Lunou Zucchini distinguished herself as a finalist for Star Académie in 2021 and is the daughter of Luce Dufault, a regular at Belle et Bum. Lunou is “really excited” to join this beautiful “crazy gang,” she said.
Percussionist Mélissa Lavergne, who has participated in 400 shows since Belle et Bum debuted, has shared animation with Normand Brathwaite since 2015. She announced her departure last February at the end of Season 20. Geneviève Borne, Claudine Prévost, Roxanne Saint-Gelais and Sophie Durocher had previously taken on the role of moderator.
The music programme, which gives a special place to emerging or unknown artists, is produced by Sphère Média, directed by Daniel Laurin and conducted by Amélie Mandeville.
