Again violence between Israelis and Palestinians news

The recent escalation of violence between Israelis and Palestinians continued today for the third consecutive day. In the central Israeli town of Rehovot, one person was killed by a Palestinian rocket and two others were slightly injured, Israeli police said. On the Palestinian side, at least 28 people were killed by Israeli fire in the three days, according to information from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Defense Minister Joav Gallant said he had instructed security forces to “take all necessary measures and prepare further actions”. Officials in the Gaza Strip said civilians, including several children, were among those killed in the Israeli shelling, as well as militants.

The EU called for an “immediate ceasefire”. The ceasefire was intended to end Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip and rocket fire against Israel, EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said. As the AFP news agency learned from the Israeli authorities, Egypt is currently trying to reach “a ceasefire” between the two sides.
