A former associate of Rudy Giuliani is suing him for sexual assault and other wrongdoing, and has accused Donald Trump’s former personal attorney of hiring her to fulfill her desire for a sexual relationship.
In a civil lawsuit filed Monday in New York state court in Manhattan, Noelle Dunphy said Giuliani began abusing her almost immediately after she was hired as director of business development in January 2019, making it clear that gratifying her sexual Wish an “absolute requirement” is her job.
Dunphy also said that Giuliani gave “alcoholsoaked speeches containing sexist, racist and antiSemitic remarks” that made her work environment intolerable and that he fired her in January 2021 without paying her the salary she is willing to defer had explained.
“Giuliani presented himself as a generous employer and a hero,” the complaint reads. “He was neither… In this case, Ms Dunphy demands a measure of justice from a man who thought his power and connections made him untouchable.”
A spokesman for Giuliani initially did not comment.
The lawsuit seeks at least $10 million in damages from Giuliani and three of his companies that bear his name.
Giuliani, 78, is also a former mayor of New York and was named Time Magazine’s 2001 Person of the Year, known as “America’s Mayor” for his response to the September 11 attacks.
According to the complaint, Giuliani promised to pay Dunphy $1 million a year and represent her on separate domestic violencerelated legal matters on a probono basis, but said her payment should be deferred and her employment kept secret because it causes problems could be “bitter” divorce proceedings.
Dunphy said he felt “extreme pressure” to comply with Giuliani’s demands not to lose his salary or legal counsel.
The complaint describes a case in which Giuliani allegedly forced her to perform oral sex on him against her will.
