Emílio Surita from the Pânico program is diagnosed with colon cancer Itatiaia

Emilio Surita, 61, has been diagnosed with colon cancer. The news was first published by journalist Odair Del Pozzo on his YouTube channel and later confirmed on Wednesday (17) by the host of “Programa Panico”.

Surita was away for a week and underwent surgery at the São Luiz Itaim Hospital in São Paulo. “I’m fine, I’m calm. I’ll do all the treatment but I’m perfect. Good tests, thank God and many thanks also to the medical team. “Doctor Carlos David, who was also an angel in my life,” said the presenter, who returned to television this Wednesday.

Surita hosted the show on May 5 and then walked away without explaining why. With that, comedian Daniel Zukerman took over. This Tuesday, the moderator’s illness became public.

Ricardo Feltrin, UOL columnist and friend of Emílio, commented on the case. “Now that it is public, I wish blessings and recovery to Emílio Surita, who is hospitalized, having surgery and being treated for cancer. I wish your family and friends a lot of strength. May he go soon as he is one of the great communicators in the history of Brazilian radio,” he wrote.

In addition to the presenter, Preta Gil and Simony are also being treated for the disease.
