Montérégie: Three people arrested in connection with drug and firearms trafficking –

Last week, three people were arrested as part of an operation by the Sûreté du Québec that led to multiple searches in Montérégie.

It all happened on Pigeon Street in Godmanchester on May 10, when police were conducting searches related to drug and firearms dealings.

In all, with the help of a dog handler, they seized nearly 10g of cocaine, more than 550g of methamphetamine, more than 1,200g of cannabis, about 4,500 tablets of various non-prescription drugs, more than $4,280 in Canadian money, two firearms, seven replica guns and two prohibited ones Weapons.

“This police operation follows an investigation launched last March thanks to information from the public,” SQ said in a press release on Wednesday.

Police arrested three suspects at the scene. Wesley Viau, 38, and Mathieu Bouchard, 31, appeared on May 11 and now face drug and firearms charges. A 41-year-old woman was also arrested and will appear at a later date.
