Justin Trudeau’s official visit to South Korea ahead of the G7 summit

Justin Trudeau is in this Asian country on his first official visit as Canadian Prime Minister to South Korea.

He will spend the week there, specifically speaking to several stakeholders about trade to attract investment.

Canada would seek to diversify its markets to be less dependent on China amid strained Ottawa-Beijing relations.

The South Koreans are said to have great interest in critical minerals and liquefied natural gas.

The Prime Minister will then travel to Hiroshima, Japan, where the G7 summit will take place.

They are expected to discuss, among other things, Russia and ways to tighten the screws on Putin’s regime.
