Echos Vedettes magazine has exclusively revealed that comedian Louis-José Houde has been a father for several months. Journalist Samuel Pradier received confirmation of the news, but without learning the baby’s first name and gender, or the identity of the mother, the comedian’s new lover.

This baby came at a good time, which also appears to be planned, by the way, since Louis-José decided to take a sabbatical after his Thousand Bad Choices tour ended last December. After twenty years of touring five different shows, he felt the need to take a deep breath and step back. He also wrote on his website at the time: “In the year 2023 I am at home and busy with domestic things. Sometimes I secretly drink a little brandy in the cellar.”
We assume he took the time to care for his child. He also shared on his Facebook page: “I’m taking a longer break now and I’m going to bake cupcakes. I wish us more reading and less reality TV. More cinema and less telephone. More tenderness towards people who drive badly. Find humor in everything that irritates and burdens us. (…) The rest will take care of itself.”
We don’t know yet if he will be hosting the ADISQ gala again in the fall, but he still took part in the next film Denis Arcand, willscheduled for release next October.
