Best PS4 Games (Summer 2020 Update)

Это List of the best games for Playstation 4 according to IGN. With the console’s recent big exclusives and the PS5 fast approaching on the horizon, we thought it was time to take a fresh look at its library of games. This list has been put together by the entire IGN content team, and after much internal debate, it represents what we consider to be the very best PS4 has to offer.

Please note that PSVR-only games were not eligible for this list. While we really like PlayStation VR because there’s a second barrier to entry and the purpose of this list is for you to be able to buy a PS4 and play any of these 25 games right away, we’ve decided to exclude them from consideration (if you have PSVR and you need recommendations, you should definitely check out our list best PSVR games).
Finally, know that we don’t understand that not every game can be included – it’s the top 25, after all. And while many of our favorite games have been left out, know that this list should set you up for dozens and dozens of hours of fun, no matter what genre you enjoy.” src=”https://assets-prd.ignimgs.com/ 2020/07/30/topps4-slideshow-1596129206319.jpg?width=888&crop=16%3A9&quality=20&dpr=0.05″ class=”jsx-2920405963 progressive-image image jsx-294430442 rounded expand loading”/>

If completed, God of War will join The Last of Us and Twisted Metal as the latest PlayStation exclusives to move to live TV. Apart from some other flagship games adapted for the big screen like Uncharted and the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima movie.

However, The Last of Us is heading to HBO and Twisted Metal is heading to Peacock.

But God of War won’t be Amazon’s only video game adaptation. Amazon Studios is currently developing the Fallout TV series from the creators of Westworld, starring Walton Goggins, as well as the Mass Effect series for Prime Video.

God of War is a longtime PlayStation exclusive, but the series will likely try to capitalize on the popularity of Sony Santa Monica Studios’ most recent incarnation of the series. The series stars Kratos, a former Spartan who wages war against the Greek gods. After completing the original trilogy, Kratos began a new life in Scandinavia, where he faces a new set of Norse gods and the challenges that come with them.

God of War was critically acclaimed at launch and has become one of the most successful reboots of the franchise in recent memory. The sequel to God of War: Ragnarok is due out later this year for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The sequel will continue the Norse saga and seemingly wrap up the story of Kratos and his son Atreus.

In the meantime, Amazon is pushing hard for big genre adaptations and is currently preparing one of the biggest in history – a new series based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien called The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power.

Matt TM Kim is the news editor for IGN. You can contact him <a target=@lawoftd.
