More than 140 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in 2023

A total of 33 people died, including six children and four women, as a result of last week’s Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip; meanwhile, 108 deaths were recorded in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The Civil Defense biweekly report for the first two weeks of this month shows that 190 Palestinians, including 64 infants and 38 women, were injured as a result of shelling and occupation attacks in the coastal enclave.

According to a human rights organization, the Israeli authorities are so far holding the bodies of at least 133 Palestinians killed in prisons, some dating from 2016.

During security operations and attacks by uniformed officers on camps in Nablus and Jenin, 236 Palestinians were injured and more than 50 students received medical treatment after inhaling tear gas from the Zionist military.

As of May 15, 688 Palestinians, including around 72 children, have been injured by Israeli forces in the West Bank; Of these, 54 were shot with live ammunition.

In connection with this, the settlers injured five Palestinians, damaged property in another 28 cases and destroyed more than 870 trees in the aforementioned occupied city.

According to OCHA, the occupation force not only caused fatalities, but also destroyed, seized or forced people to demolish 42 buildings in East Jerusalem and Area C of the West Bank, including 17 houses.

The regime in Tel Aviv displaced 50 Palestinians, including 23 children, and affected the livelihoods of more than 600 residents.

The United Nations Organization stressed that the Israeli regime’s punitive demolitions constitute a form of collective punishment and as such are illegal under international law.
