“Without knowing that it would be you”: A friend of Denia Laínez told her that she had suspected his death

Denia Laínez died along with her sister-in-law Keylin Maldonado in an accident in La Masica, Atlántida.

Keylin Maldonado and Denia Laínez were riding a motorcycle on the CA-13 highway when they suffered an accident that claimed their lives after crashing into a tree.

Denia and Keyli were sisters-in-law. Maldonado had traveled from the US while Laínez lived in San Juan Pueblo.

A friend of Denia commented on social networks the last conversation she had with her.

According to her words, she had told Denia a few days before the accident that she had a bad feeling that death would bring.

“My princess, I loved seeing you smile so much. I loved your crazy things, those crazy things I’ll never forget, that smile I only have to see in my dreams. “I will never forget you, my love,” were the words of the young woman who identified herself as Nayely Méndez.

“The day before yesterday I told you about the bad feeling I was having and you told me not to think that… and look my love, not knowing it would be you my girl. But you’re in a better place. This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you soon. Get more rest my girl,” he added.

Keylin Maldonado had recently arrived from the US where she lived with her husband and two daughters who had children.

The event was recorded last Thursday evening on the CA-13 highway near the municipality of El Chorro, municipality of La Masica, Atlántida.

In fact, two versions are treated. For one, the motorcycle they were riding was pulled off the road by a passing car, causing them to lose control.

While the National Roads and Transport Directorate (DNVT) report states that “it was an oversight on a motorcycle.”

“Apparently they came in drunk because they had been seen drinking in the community of San Juan Pueblo. They went off the road and hit some trees,” said Deputy Commissioner Joel Martínez, DNVT regional head.

Both were not wearing their respective helmets as can be seen on the website. The two women died instantly from severe injuries sustained on different parts of their bodies. Relatives collected the bodies and took them to the house where they lived in San Juan Pueblo.

A few hours later, the authorities arrived on site, carried out the appropriate collection and then handed over the bodies to the relatives.
