Sony announces new car amplifiers for its latest AV receiver – notebookcheck.biz

With the XAV-9000ES, Sony has introduced new options for those who would rather build their own car infotainment system. It builds on all the key benefits of its predecessors – up to 192kHz/24-bit playback via LDAC for built-in Bluetooth connectivity – while ensuring it’s up to date with features like 3-way camera switching remains.

This input is displayed on the XAV-9000ES’ 6.75″ HD capacitive screen (above the basic ‘simple’ physical buttons) and can be set to light up in response to appropriate controls such as turn signals. Otherwise, the screen is designed to display Sony’s proprietary display system, Sony’s Mobile ES, with improved contrast and brightness.

The XAV-9000ES is also designed to seamlessly connect to the owner’s mobile devices, although the rear ports are USB Type-C ports. The receiver also features an ESS DAC converter for “high-end home audio” quality sound and even has its own “premium” 4-channel Class A/B amplifier.

However, for those who want more of the same, there are also the new XM-8ES and XM-6ES models. As the name suggests, these are dedicated 100Wx8 or 100Wx6 Class D power amplifiers. They are designed to resist resonance and interference, with “high-end” internals for “perfect sound reproduction.” 1MORE SonoFlow over-ear headphones launch with ANC, Bluetooth and LDAC support” and a new “logical” control panel layout “for hassle-free installation”.

The XM-6ES and XM-8ES will be available on the website in July 2023 at suggested retail prices of $899.99 and $999.99 respectively, while the XAV-9000ES will be available in September 2023 at an estimated starting price of $899.99 will come onto the market.
