The nearly minute-long video, which was shared widely on social media, showed Joe Biden walking down the stairs of Air Force One in the rain, fumbling with a large black umbrella as he went. Joe Biden is then greeted by Kenji Yamada, Japan’s foreign minister, and other dignitaries while holding the umbrella under his arm because he cannot use it. Noticing the US President getting wet in the rain, others around him held their umbrellas over Biden. Finally, the US President can open his own umbrella.

Taking to Twitter, a user shared the video with the caption: “Biden fights with umbrella after landing in Japan.”

“Oh no! Schirmtor! How terrible! Maybe the big margin [Marjorie Taylor Greene] “I can add this to your charges,” wrote another, while others defended the US President.

“He focused on the people before playing around with the umbrella. It’s called manners, which is probably why you were so taken aback by the scene,” one user commented.

Joe Biden has announced plans for re-election in 2024, although polls show over two-thirds of Americans believe he will be too old for a second term.
