Quebec’s Eugenie Bouchard lost to Italy’s Sara Errani in the quarterfinals of the Challenger in Florence on Friday.
Bouchard (233rd player in the world) was eliminated from the game early in the second set due to an injury we don’t know the nature of.

Errani (78′) won the first set 6-3 and led 1-0 in the second set.
The 36-year-old didn’t commit a double fault while Bouchard committed two faults in the clash.
This is the first time this year that the Quebecer has reached the quarterfinals of a WTA tournament.
The 29-year-old athlete lowered his flag during qualifiers for the tournament in Rome last week.
