In a statement, the official warned that attempts by the Israeli minister and other radicals to change the status quo in Al-Aqsa will be condemned and will fail.

Abu Rudeineh stressed that invading the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque will not alter reality and will not enforce Israeli sovereignty over it.

In this regard, he called for immediate action by the international community to preserve the status quo in Jerusalem and not push the region into war.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry called the renewed interference by Ben Gvir and the settlers a provocative, condemned, dangerous and unacceptable escalation.

In this train of thought, the Jordanian ministry stressed that the Israeli crime is a flagrant violation of historical and legal rights.

He warned that Israel’s ongoing attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, as well as unilateral settlement expansion measures and daily raids on Palestinian towns and cities, harbored a further escalation that the international community must work to stop immediately.

At dawn, under heavy police protection, settlers led by Ben Gvir stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

For the second time since his appointment as far-right minister in Tel Aviv, the Israeli minister has entered the holy place of Islam.

Located in occupied Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site for Muslims.
