The 22nd season of sweet salty is on our doorstep and awaits the arrival of several new collaborators, including Patricia Paquin, whose return to television comes against a backdrop of great personal good fortune. The presenter tells us about this return and her other projects.

Patricia, how did you react to this suggestion to return to television regularly?
It’s funny because I wonder how exactly that spark came about. In fact, I write to Mélanie Maynard regularly on social networks, we often exchange ideas. When she was chosen as the new animator, I sent her a little congratulatory message. Maybe the idea came from her and it’s thanks to her. (After checking, it was actually Mélanie Maynard who suggested her name to the production company.) When I was subsequently asked to make me this offer, I simply said to myself, “Why not?”
Will your topos be a specific color?
Yes. The guests I will be interviewing will come to my home on the Rougemont hill for the occasion. For example, I did my first report with Félix-Antoine Tremblay and we actually sat next to my swimming pool. Conducting my interviews at home is also Mélanie’s idea.
Recently when I set up a bed for one person Your sons you have broken the head of the radius of the right elbow. How are you doing?
I still have pain, including when I have to turn a doorknob. I still do exercises every night.
In October you will be 55 years old surprising since nothing appears there. How do you explain it My daughter Florence is 8 years old, Gabriel is 12 and Benjamin is 21 years old. So I’m still in action, for example with my homework in the evening. Then Gabriel just started playing flag football so I’m busy with his games on Saturday mornings. Maybe it helps me to still be in the thick of it. Also, I’ve always done hot yoga. Last year I ran a half marathon thanks to the initiative of my friend Jessica Barker. In addition, this year I will act as ambassador for the event together with Alexandra Diaz. This time I’m thinking about running 10k with a friend and 5k with some of my kids if they feel like it.
How are your children?
In order. Gabriel is the exact replica of Louis-François in terms of old soul and discretion. But he inherited my sarcastic humor and irony. My little Florence looks a lot like me, while Benjamin looks a lot like his father physically. Mathieu (Gratton) and I are still in joint care and Benjamin still works at our café Chez Cheval two or three days a week. Then his beautiful blonde Charlayne is still part of his life.

How long did your love affair with Louis-François Marcotte last?
It’s 15 years this year and we got married in 2014.
So 15 years of love and almost 10 years of marriage. Are you planning to celebrate these anniversaries?
No, we haven’t talked about it yet. But if we highlight her one day, it will be with a romantic trip.
Do you have a goal in mind?
I want to go to Africa.
What are your other projects?
I’m still co-hosting Les filles du Lunch on Rythme FM with Marie-Eve Janvier and Anouk Meunier and will be back next season. Then the adventure of our café Chez Cheval continues. As soon as the particular circumstances related to the pandemic arrived, Louis-François responded immediately and we started offering take-away meals. We then kept this formula. It’s still a café, but at the start of the pandemic we removed a few tables for take away.
