A video on TikTok showing reggaeton player “Arcángel” being interceded by the Peruvian National Police (PNP) has caused a stir and even concern among his followers.
According to the images, the artist had to leave the vehicle he was traveling in to identify himself to the authorities.
The event took place hours before the concert he offered at San Marcos stadium, reported the Peruvian newspaper El Comercio.
Meanwhile, the portal of the newspaper La República pointed out that the name Austin Santos, the real name of the artist, became trending in Peru in a matter of minutes, while hundreds of fans expressed their anger at the Peruvian police for using the iconic Name unrecognized rapper and exposes him to an embarrassing episode.
The harsh comments were not long in coming as they revealed surprise and outrage at the situation, La República points out.
Arcángel was intervened by the police hours before his concert in Lima.
