Ariana Madix somberly returns to LA… following the death of a close friend

Ariana Madix looked exhausted as she left LAX on Saturday…emotionally drained after losing her close friend Ali Rafiq.
The Vanderpump Rules star kept her shades on as she walked through the terminal in a brown sweatshirt and matching pants.
She arrived back in LA the same day she paid her respects to Rafiq and shared a photo of them on Instagram.
“I want to text you over and over again. It feels like this can’t even be real. We just planned your trip to LA. We’re talking about our future and all the things we’ve been looking forward to,” she wrote, before ticking off the things she missed about her late friend.
Although the two were obviously close, Madix actually met Rafiq through her ex. Tom Sandoval. The duo have been best friends since childhood and Tom also shared a post in memory.
Madix’s life has been full of changes lately, starting with the end of her nine-year relationship with Sandoval after she discovered him cheated on her with her close friend, Rachel Leviss.

She’s been dealing with the aftermath of the split for the past two months and even appeared to be putting the drama behind her cheer a new relationship with the fitness trainer Daniel Wai.
The death of 41-year-old Rafiq has clearly affected Madix and Sandoval… but it’s pretty certain their shared grief won’t bring them back together.
