In an interview with Famitsu, the President of Playstation spoke about PC gaming and the place they occupy in Sony politics. The Japanese company intends to “significantly increase the number of PS5 titles on PC” without naming an exact window.
Jim Ryan Still, he did claim to have spoken to PlayStation fans, leading him to believe that “after two or three years, sales of PC versions of our PlayStation games seem to be well received.” Some might say they rather are PC gamer Who would have a say in this story, but that’s another topic entirely…
Sony pointed this out in its report to investors last April very good performance of his new strategy and reaffirmed his desire to bring even more games to the PC – the acquisition of Nixxes Software will also be remembered in this spirit. But will a period of two to three years last in the long run? There hype could very well evaporate, especially as the quality is not always given; Most Sony connections were present extremely poorly optimizedthe most recent example being the disastrous The Last of Us Part 1.
Hopefully Sony did, however a little more consideration for its potential customers, especially by not blocking certain studios on the platforms of their choice. Additionally, some titles like Bloodborne have been anticipated for years, but despite persistent rumors, Sony still doesn’t seem to want to give itself the funds to bring them to PC.
This philosophy is about post-sale returns only and no returns player expectations Before a product is available I’m not sure if Sony’s charm campaign will be successful with the PC community…
