Truth after 48 years. It is the specimen given to the sisters and mother of Sharron Prior, who was raped and killed in 1975 at the age of 16 in suburban Montreal, Canada.
For almost a century, the young girl’s tormentor remained unnamed, although the police have identified around a hundred suspects over the years.
After repeated inaction, the Canadian authorities have now managed to identify the perpetrator thanks to DNA.
This is Franklin Maywood Romine, a criminal who died under mysterious circumstances in 1982, seven years after the crime.
Investigators exhumed his body to make comparisons with some biological evidence found at the crime scene. And the results have shown – say Canadian police – “100% Security” that Romine is the man who raped and then barbarically killed the young woman.
As already mentioned, Romine died in 1982, but – as the media underline – the mother of Yvonne Prior, the mother of the now 80-year-old teenager, if justice cannot be done to her, can finally find out what happened after spending his life searching for his daughter’s killer.
