The popular Channel Ten star is surprisingly leaving the ailing broadcaster
Titus O’Reily has left Channel 10’s The Cheap Seats show.
The former corporate executive was popular with fans for his quirky sports coverage on the comedy show, which takes a look back at the past week.
O’Reily, whose real name is Alex Twomey, made the announcement in Tuesday’s episode.
After joking with viewers that he was leaving the show because he was “going to jail,” O’Reily thanked co-stars Melanie Brackwell and Tim McDonald and the show’s crew.
“I just want to say that I absolutely loved this show and it will only keep going from strength to strength over the years,” he began.

“Most of all, I want to thank the makeup guys because not so many people have worked on a project to get that face on TV since the space race. ‘It’s a modern marvel.’
O’Reily has announced that he plans to move on to other “projects”.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Brackwell and McDonald responded with their own photo tribute to O’Reily on The Cheap Seats’ Twitter account.
