Canada’s Carol Zhao lost in the second round of Roland Garros qualifying on Wednesday.
Zhao, 177th in WTA rankings, lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 to Czech Sara Bejlek, 180th.
The session lasted 1h07.
Neither player scored an ace in the duel and the two rivals each committed three double faults.
Zhao, who defeated Poland’s Katerzyna Kawa in the opening round of qualifying, only managed to break her competitor’s serve once. She also paid for the Canadian’s face-offs four times.
As a result, there is no longer a Canadian in the running for qualification for the second major tournament of the season.
