PlayStation Showcase 2023: where and when to watch the long-awaited conference – Frandroid

PlayStation Showcase 2023 where and when to watch the long awaited

There’s no E3 this year, but that doesn’t mean manufacturers will ignore their conferences. Sony pulls the first with the PlayStation Showcase, which will take place tonight. If the rumors are going well, apart from a few rumors and, most importantly, a large salvo of games for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2, we still don’t know exactly what the program will be like.

Where and when can you follow the PlayStation Showcase?

Unlike usual, Sony has chosen a schedule that is more “suitable” for us Europeans as the event will be broadcast Live on Youtube and Twitch channels from the publisher from 22 o’clock. Sony has already announced that the stream will last just over an hour.

What can we expect from the 2023 edition of the PlayStation Showcase?

Unlike State of Play, which happens randomly several times a year, PlayStation Showcase is the publisher’s annual announcement show, often revealing first or third-party titles for the first time. The last of September 2021 had lifted the veil on some titles not yet released or almost like Final Fantasy XVI (coming out in less than a month), Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth or the long-awaited one Remake of Silent Hill 2. There’s a good chance we’ll see these titles again tonight, with the final release dates in particular being towards the end of the year, at least we hope so.

Rumors are also persistent about some highly anticipated titles like a certain GTA VI (although we still doubt its presence tonight), but about the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake in particular, the incessant noise from the corridors of the last few days could up The latter being due to materialize tonight. As every year, there is also talk of a possible remake of Bloodborne, which would come to PS5 and elsewhere on PC.

Despite the silence following its release last February, the PlayStation VR2 should also be well in the spotlight with the arrival of big titles, we think in particular of Half-Life: Alyx and in particular new ambitious productions from the publisher for its virtual reality headset, the really needed It.

Finally, while still in the rumor department, we might be able to catch a glimpse of the famous “Q Lite” project, a portable console for cloud and remote play that can display PS4 and PS5 games, as well as games available on PS Now.
