In just three weeks, Paramount+ will launch Season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Following on from last month’s teaser trailer, they released a brand new trailer today that offers many more clues about the new season.

Featuring initial dialogue from Chief Engineer Pelia (Carol Kane) and much of the main cast in action, the new trailer offers a first look at the crossover episode featuring live action and animation, starring Star Trek: Lower Decks’ Tawny Newsome as Ensign Beckett Mariner and Jack Quaid as Ensign Brad Boimler on the USS Enterprise.
Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura and Melissa to see Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga. Season 2 also returns special guest star Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk and newcomer Carol Kane in a recurring role as Pelia.

In Season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the crew of the USS Enterprise, led by Captain Christopher Pike, faces increasingly dangerous challenges, exploring uncharted territories and encountering new life and new civilizations. The crew will also embark on personal journeys that will continue to test their resolve and redefine their destiny. Your adventures will meet friends and foes new and familiar, and unfold in surprising ways never seen before in a Star Trek series.
Mariner and Boimler on the Enterprise, plus a new Season 2 poster
Paramount+ broadcast an image of Mariner and Boimler arriving in the transporter room. The crossover episode was directed by TNG veteran Jonathan Frakes, who described it as “full comedy.”

Season 2 will premiere Thursday, June 15 on Paramount+ in the US, UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Season 2 will also be available to stream on Paramount+ in South Korea, with premiere dates to be announced at a later date. After the premiere, new episodes of the 10-part season will appear weekly on Thursdays.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 1 is currently streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in the US, UK, Latin America, Australia, South Korea, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It will be broadcast on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel and streamed on Crave in Canada and on SkyShowtime in the Nordics, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal and Central and Eastern Europe. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
