Afida Turner’s tribute to the death of her ex-mother-in-law, Tina
DECES – “She loved France so much! Afida Turner paid tribute to her mother-in-law, rock icon Tina Turner, who passed away on Wednesday, May 24. The singer left her home in Switzerland at the age of 83 “after a long illness”, as we can read in the Sky News press release.
Afida Turner was the singer’s daughter-in-law from 2007 to 2017 and married their son Ronnie. She posted a tribute to the singer on her Instagram account.

“I only spoke about you five minutes ago, before it happened in Nice. I know how much she loved the south of France. Rest in peace my mother in law with Craig and Ronnie,” she captioned a photo of the pair.
Craig and Ronnie, the singer’s two younger sons, both died, the first from suicide in 2018 and the second from cancer in 2022.
Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939 in Tennessee (southern USA), Tina Turner made her debut at the age of 16 with the blues group “Kings of Rhythm” of the one who will be her husband until 1978: Ike Turner.
With him and “The Ike and Tina Turner Revue” the singer achieved a certain fame and became one of the most popular black formations in the USA in the 1960s.
