Thousands of people protested in Israel on Tuesday against the planned provision of additional funds for ultra-Orthodox Jews in the government’s budget proposal. On the occasion of two days of budget deliberations in parliament, they paraded through Jerusalem waving Israeli flags, beating drums and accusing the ruling coalition of looting the state treasury.
