100 years later Vachon cakes are still just as popular

100 years later, Vachon cakes are still just as popular!

Founded in 1923, the bakery that produces the famous Vachon cakes is celebrating its 100th anniversary!

Our journalist traveled to Sainte-Marie in Beauce to meet the Vachon family and Maison J.-A. Vachon, the cradle of cupcakes. The site will be open to the public from June 17th.

Jacques Vachon, the son of one of the founders, is received by TVA Nouvelles and expresses his admiration for the work done by his father and his entourage.

“I’ve had some memorable times here. It’s always a privilege to come here. It reminds me of good memories, it reminds me of the times when I very often saw my father and uncles leaving happily in the morning and coming back late at night and working with zeal,” he says.

In addition, it is the “Joe Louis”, the first cupcake baked by the artisans of the bakery.

Filled with articles about the company, the CEO of Maison J.-A Vachon gives us a taste of what visitors can expect this summer.
