11-year-old child stopped by cops in Mississippi after calling 911

Aderrien Murry, an 11-year-old boy, was pulled by a police officer in Mississippi on Saturday morning after calling for help.

The father of another child came home “angry” at 4 a.m., the boy’s mother, Nakala Murry, told CNN.

Concerned for her safety, she asked her son to call 911, which he did.

The Indianola police officer who took the call “kept his gun pointed at the front door and urged those living in the home to come out,” Ms Murry said.

The child was shot in the chest as he entered the living room from the hallway.

Aderrien repeatedly asked his mother, “Why did he shoot me? What I have done wrong?”.

Two other children were also in the home at the time of the incident.

The child is doing better after being hospitalized for several days, his family told CNN.

He angrily demands the police officer’s dismissal and charges for his gesture.

A body camera captured the entire scene, but the footage has not yet been released due to the ongoing investigation.
