Tina Turner da Silva is the sister of John Lennon and almost had Madonna as a younger sister. They are all children of Rio Grande do Norte’s caregiver for the elderly, Rejane Ferreira da Silva, 55, who has decided to pay homage to music idols on behalf of her offspring.

The youngest daughter was to be named Madonna, but the mother became evangelical and decided to give her a biblical name: Rebeca.

“I saw Tina Turner on TV, I bought a record. I like her songs very much, so I paid tribute to her. But she (the daughter) doesn’t like the name. She says he’s ugly, she didn’t like him.” the woman said.

Tina da Silva declined the interview because, according to her mother, she doesn’t like her own name.

Rejane says that when her daughter was little, she always stood out because she had the same name as the artist and she was embarrassed. Nevertheless, she authorized her mother to send a photo of the two for the report.

The elderly caregiver said she was saddened by the singer’s death and remembered the recent loss of Rita Lee, who she also admired.

“I was very sad because our idols are leaving. It was also Rita Lee that I really liked and listened to a lot,” he recalls.

The singer

Tina Turner, considered the queen of rock ‘n’ roll, died on Wednesday (24) at the age of 83. The cause of death was not disclosed, but she died “after a long illness” at her home in Switzerland.

The singer of hits like “What’s Love Got to Do with It”, “The Best” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero” launched a solo career in the 1980s. They were successful in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Ike died of a cocaine overdose in 2007,

Tina has won eight Grammy Awards and has sold over 100 million records worldwide.

Tina leaves behind her second husband, the German music manager Erwin Bach. They married in July 2013 after 27 years together. She also leaves behind two adopted children by Ike Turner, Ike Turner Jr. and Michael Turner.

The first child, Craig Raymond Turner, died in July 2018. Another son, Ronnie, died in December 2022.
