TOP 100: Only two Brazilian cities are among the best in the world Multiverso Notícias

In general, given the various issues reported in society and the celebration of the country’s natural wonders, Brazil is a great country to live in. However, it is clear that the competition at world level is very strong and the Brazilians may be a little behind.

While some parameters may seem somewhat relative, there are standards and benchmarks that can be used to determine which cities in the world are the best places to live.

In this context, the Cities Index 2023 is a list that ranks the best cities in the world based on various economic, social and political aspects.

As many people would love to live in highly rated places, it is important to know which city is closest to you and which is on this list.

However, only two cities in Brazil made the top 100 in the world. See what they are below.

The Brand Finance City Index is the most comprehensive study evaluating cities worldwide from an external perspective. This means that a view of the city dwellers is not taken into account in the result.

The study takes into account 45 attributes that characterize the analyzed cities. They include such parameters as place of residence, place of work (both local and remote), retirement, study, investment and visit.

In addition, the study includes pillars such as sustainability and transport, culture and heritage, habitability, education and science, among others.

Unfortunately, Brazilian cities didn’t make the top ten they were far from it but still, being in the top 100 is quite an honor as it’s an international perspective.

The two cities on the ranking were, oddly enough from an internal point of view, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. They finished 75th and 69th respectively. However, there is an explanation for this classification.

According to Brand Finance Brasil director Eduardo Chaves, education and public safety were the most important factors behind the classification.

On the other hand, the crime rate in these cities is enormous, which leads to a certain devaluation of the place. Rio de Janeiro did not come close to doing well, taking last place in the education category.

Among the 10 best cities in the world, London ranks first, followed by New York and Paris. Los Angeles, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, San Francisco, Dubai and Amsterdam also feature in the ranking, in that order.
