Celine Dion paid tribute to singer Tina Turner, who died on Wednesday at the age of 83, on her Facebook page.

“Extraordinary talent… a true inspiration… such a great loss. I admired and loved him greatly… My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace Tina – Celine xx…” she wrote.
The Quebec diva has often covered Tina Turner’s most famous songs on stage, including “Proud Mary”, “River Deep – Mountain High” or “Simply The Best”.
Tina Turner, “the queen of rock ‘n’ roll”, died “peacefully” after a long illness, her agent announced yesterday.
During her career, which began in the USA in the 1950s, she won eight Grammys, the American music awards.
“With her music and her inexhaustible vitality, Tina Turner has delighted millions of fans and inspired many artists of subsequent generations,” the statement reads.
