Game 4 of the Hurricanes Panthers series on Wednesday was a very difficult scene to watch.

From the beginning of the duel, the back of the “Canes” Jaccob Slavin was hit extremely hard by Sam Bennett coming at full speed.

Slavin was literally thrown onto the ice and his condition chilled many people’s blood in the moments following the contact.

“He’s in another world,” said our analyst Patrick Lalime in particular, who was blown away by what he saw.

Unsurprisingly, before the end of the first period, the Hurricanes confirmed their defender would not be returning to the game.
